Board-certified internal medicine physician Kavita Namjoshi, MD, practices patient-centered care at Premier Health Consultants of Northern Virginia. At the practice’s office locations in Reston and Dulles, Virginia, Dr. Namjoshi is a strong proponent of patient-centric care. Her mission is to provide excellent, individualized medical care to all her patients. Dr. Namjoshi wants to care for patients in the same manner that she would expect to be taken care of; giving her patients the detailed attention that they need and the dignity and respect they deserve.
Dr. Namjoshi graduated at the top of her class from B.J. Medical College in 1992. After coming to America, Dr. Namjoshi settled in Atlanta, and obtained a master’s degree in genetics from Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta. She then completed a three-year residency in Internal Medicine at Kettering Medical Center in Ohio.
Dr. Namjoshi has been in practice for over 23 years and is board certified by the ABIM - American Board of Internal Medicine. It is this depth of experience that Dr. Namjoshi brings to her clinical practice of Medicine.
Apart from clinical care, Dr. Namjoshi has held many leadership positions during her career. Recently Dr. Namjoshi was in charge of managing a large group of hospitalists at Reston Hospital Center for over six years. In her role as the Medical Director, Dr. Namjoshi has formed close working relationships with the top specialists in our area. She leverages these relationships to ensure that any of her patients requiring specialists, will receive prompt and personal medical attention from the best doctors in the area.
Namjoshi is currently credentialed at Reston Hospital Center where she is available to provide inpatient services to her patients. While most Internists and Primary Care Physicians only see patients in the office, relying on hospitalists to manage their patients in the hospital, Dr. Namjoshi will take care of her own patients while they are hospitalized at Reston Hospital Center. This ensures that they receive the same personal touch during a stressful time in their healthcare journey.
Dr. Namjoshi has served as a Vice-Chair for the Department of Medicine at Reston Hospital Center for four years, and is currently serving as the Chair of the Department of Medicine.
Dr. Namjoshi also has the confidence of her peers who have voted for her as the “Washingtonian Top Doc” for 2020, for excellence in Internal Medicine.
When she is not practicing Medicine, Dr. Namjoshi loves to read, garden, travel, and socialize with her friends and family.
